Hair Extension Care

It’s important to get into a good routine with your hair extensions from the start, so your hair extensions can last as long as possible
1. Brush your extensions with care
Use a wide-tooth comb and wait until your hair is at least 90% dry before brushing. Start from the bottom and work your way up.
For no-fix extensions, brush before storing.
When storing your extensions, make sure they are dry and kept in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. We recommend lightly tying them with a scrunchie and placing them in your Lotus bag.
2. Washing & hydration
Use products that lock in moisture, as extensions don’t get the natural oils your hair does.
Apply a moisturizing hair mask 2x per week, and always after beach or pool exposure.
2.1 Step by step on how to wash your Non fix extensions (Hairband, Clip in or Ponytail):
3. Avoid harmful products
Avoid, sulfates, formaldehyde, and alcohols such as propanol, SD, isopropyl, and ethyl alcohol. These dry out the hair and can lead to shedding.
4. Washing frequency
-
Fix extensions: 1-2 times per week
-
No-fix extensions: 1-2 times per month
Overwashing reduces the lifespan of your extensions.
5. Heat styling
Extensions are made with 100% Human Remy Hair, so heat styling is absolutely fine.
However, the less heat you use, the longer the hair will last. Always apply our heat protector before using any hot tools.
For best results and to preserve the quality of the hair, we recommend using heat tools at a maximum temperature of 180°C.
6. Products & finishing
Avoid using too many products like hairsprays, gels, or mousses, as this will increase washing frequency.
We recommend finishing with Argan Serum, which protects hair, prevents dryness, and leaves extensions sleek and shiny.

7. Sleeping with your extensions
To protect your extensions overnight, avoid sleeping with your hair loose. Tie it in a loose ponytail or soft braid to prevent tangles, frizz, and breakage.
For extra protection, use a satin bonnet, which reduces friction and keeps your hair soft and shiny. ✨
8. Gym routine
Before working out, protect you hair with a Argan or Coconut Serum and tie your extensions in a low ponytail or bun, preferably using a satin scrunchie, to prevent tangling or pulling at the roots.
After exercise, wash only if necessary and apply leave-in and reaply the the Argan Serum to restore hydration lost from sweat. Avoid very hot water, which can dry out the hair.
💛 Final tip:
By following these simple steps, your extensions will stay soft, shiny, and last much longer. Small daily habits make all the difference!
